How we work:
The underlying philosophy of youth work at North Down YMCA is to start from where young people are and to work together on what is important to them in ways that are inclusive and participatory. One of the pivotal beliefs put into practice in North Down YMCA is that young people are able to achieve a lot more that they are usually asked or expected to. Young people are included in the design, planning and delivery of projects.

Methodolody:
Youth work in NorthDown YMCA is not just about activity, as informal educators the team use a range of formal, informal, individual engagement and group work to help young people develop, take responsibility and achieve their potential.
